For galleries, curators and exhibitions

Extend Physical Art Exhibitions with Web and XR.

Show more than the venue can hold. Give every artwork a web page visitors can open from a QR code, then present selected works at true-to-life scale through DO XR.

Beyond the walls

Your Exhibition Should Not End Where the Wall Space Does.

A booth or gallery can display only what fits. Transport, installation, screen availability and venue time narrow the selection even further. Digital Original lets the physical show become the starting point for a wider experience.

  • 01

    Wall and screen capacity

A venue shows what fits on it. The rest of the collection stays in the folder, unseen by the people standing in front of the work that made it.

  • 02

    Transport and insurance

Crating, shipping and cover decide what travels. Work that is too large, too fragile or too far away never reaches the shortlist.

  • 03

    Context the label cannot hold

A wall label carries a title, a date and a medium. Detail, process, video and the artist’s own account of the work do not fit beside it.

  • 04

Attention that ends at the door

A visitor leaves with a photograph and a name. There is nothing to open afterwards, and no route back to the work they stood in front of.

Two digital layers

One Exhibition. Two Ways to Explore Beyond It.

  • Open Every Artwork on the Web.

Place a QR code beside a work, on booth signage or in a printed catalogue. Visitors can open the artwork page on any connected phone, tablet or laptop to see the full image, detail, artist information and available purchase terms.

  • Experience Selected Work in XR.

Use DO XR on supported Meta Quest devices to present additional works at gallery scale, place art on real walls or invite visitors into a curated virtual space.

How it works

From Physical Show to Connected Digital Exhibition.

Build the digital layer before the doors open, then keep it available after the event ends.

  • Publish the artists and artworks
    01

    Publish the artists and artworks

Add the complete selection with high-resolution media, descriptions, dimensions and artist context.

    Publish collection
  • Choose what appears physically
    02

    Choose what appears physically

Curate the walls, screens and objects that fit the venue without removing the rest of the collection from the experience.

    Curate selection
  • Connect the venue with QR codes
    03

Connect the venue with QR codes

Place artwork or collection QR codes beside works, in the catalogue or on booth signage.

    Create QR codes
  • Add the XR layer
    04

    Add the XR layer

Prepare selected works or collections for immersive viewing on supported Meta Quest devices.

    Prepare for XR
  • Continue after the exhibition
    05

    Continue after the exhibition

Keep the web experience available for follow-up viewing and eligible purchase journeys after the physical event closes.

    Keep it online

Use cases

Built for More Than One Kind of Exhibition.

  • Show works you did not transport

Let visitors explore pieces that are not physically installed at the venue.

  • Add context to the works on the wall

Connect each displayed work to its full image, detail, dimensions and artist information on the web.

  • Create private collector previews

Share selected works through a code-protected selection.

  • Keep the exhibition open online

Give visitors a direct route back to the work after the fair, opening or guided visit.

Solimán López’s booth at Digital Art Mile, Art Basel 2024

Art Basel 2024 case study

Fifteen Works. Three Screens. One Connected Collection.

In 2022, Solimán López encoded a manifesto into DNA, embedded it in a collagen ear sculpture and buried it in an Arctic glacier. At Digital Art Mile during Art Basel 2024, he brought fifteen digital works to a booth with room to display three at a time.

What we built

A storefront behind a QR code.

Visitors browsed the complete collection on their own phones, viewed each work at full resolution, and bought directly from the storefront.

The storefront built for Solimán López, Art Basel 2024

What changed

The whole collection, on every visitor’s phone.

  • Beyond the wall

The collection was no longer capped at what fitted on three screens. Work that was not on display was still there to see, and to buy.

  • Sales the booth did not have to run

Payment happened in the storefront, with the listing and its terms staying under the seller’s control.

DO XR

Step inside the work. Without leaving the booth.

A visitor puts on a Meta Quest and the booth is still around them. Only now the work that never made the wall is there too, at true‑to‑life scale and close enough to reach for.

What supports it

The platform behind the exhibition.

Use the capabilities that fit the exhibition. The professional website remains the foundation; selling and XR extend the experience when the work and the event require them.

  • Full-quality presentation

Images and video at the resolution they were made, so a work reads on a phone the way it reads on the wall.

  • Deep Zoom

Let a visitor open a work and look closer, down to the detail the venue lighting never shows.

  • Artwork and artist pages

Every work gets a page of its own, with dimensions, description and the artist behind it.

  • Custom domain

Use your own domain, so the digital layer of the show carries the gallery’s name rather than ours.

  • Optional storefront

Add purchase terms to the works that are for sale, and leave the rest without a price, open to enquiries.

  • DO XR

Present selected work at true-to-life scale on supported Meta Quest devices.

Show More Work Without Adding More Wall Space.

Create a connected web and XR experience for the artists, artworks and visitors your physical venue cannot hold on its own.
